About
Welcome to Danger Syndicate. Here’s a little bit about us:
Authors
Danger Syndicate is maintained at varying intervals by Austinites Jeff and Steven. In case you need to pick them out of a line-up, here’s some information about these notorious criminals.
Steven is a 6′9″ behemoth, weighing in at 260 pounds of pure muscle, and does all of the coding for the website. In his free time, Steven plays piano, DJs, reads semi-obscure Ray Bradbury books, and collects (and builds!) clocks.
Jeff, a measly 3′6″, thinks a lot (but doesn’t get much done). In his spare time he enjoys writing (and sometimes finishing) poetry and stories, arguing, and reading really obscure 19th century literature. He collects stickers. Yeah.
Both Steven and Jeff love to play MUSICK, and they have a band, coming like a phoenix out of the ashes of their old band, Secret Spice, most of which’s members are soon leaving town.
In August 2009, Danger Syndicate gained two more writers, Zach and Jonesy (aka Sam), added primarily so any corporate scandal involving Jeff or Steven can be easily solved by shifting the blame. Some more information about them:
Zach, a diabetic Arab, spends most of his time working towards his goal to see most movies, defined as more than 50%. Seriously. This guy has seen way too many movies. He’ll probably be writing most of our movie articles. His other hobbies include collecting unicorn memorabilia and listening to exclusively R&B.
Jonesy, a Californian Jew, is permanently stuck in a relentless quicksand of pop culture, and consequently is a top referrer of things we would categorize into “the strangest things on the Internet.” He doesn’t currently collect anything, which is a shame, because if he did it would add some much needed continuity to this page.
FAQ
What is Danger Syndicate?
We’re asked this question pretty often. Danger Syndicate is no more complex than a couple of guys posting online whatever we want. We hope it’s interesting, and we hope you learn something. Danger Syndicate is our way of exposing our creativity, and getting some of our ideas out of our heads and into cloudspace so we no longer have to remember them. It’s an archive of our thoughts, our feelings, and our products.
Why should I read Danger Syndicate?
To learn. This blog is about some people combining our intelligence and resources into pooling together all of the halfway-decent things we find and create. Here we post our research, our hobbies, a short story or two. We don’t limit ourselves by topic, so you never know what you’re going to read. Sure, a blog with a narrower scope, a more specific niche may be useful, but have you ever just wanted to know about cool things?
How can I get in touch with you guys?
There’s a word for that! It’s called contact.
Your site looks like piss. I want to read it in my sexy RSS reader or email client.
No worries! We’ll hook you up easy as pie.
